A country cottage for three – fully renovated in autumn 2023
Mycock Cottage was fully renovated in 2023 and is rated 5-star on Trip Advisor. It’s a former cattle barn, which today is a luxury Derbyshire cottage sleeping three people. Refurbishments include a brand-new kitchen with built-in appliances, quartz work surfaces and a waste disposal system. New flooring has been fitted throughout with underfloor heating downstairs and there’s a chic new vintage-style bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. Mycock has open-plan living downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs – a double and a single. Outside to the rear of the property is a private patio. The cottage is nestled under High Wheeldon and is located in one of the Peak District’s most stunning valleys.
As a guest of Wheeldon Trees, you’re free to roam our 12 acres of Peak District National Park. If you love walking you can bag a trig by climbing High Wheeldon from your cottage door. Within Wheeldon Trees, you’ll find an honesty shop packed with treats, a children’s games room and play area, electric bikes and a Voltshare EV charger if you’re driving electric. In 2023 we introduced our own luxury bath and body range which is made for us locally in Bakewell and features in every cottage. If you’re working while with us, feel free to use our dedicated workspace – a luxurious office under the trees with the most amazing views. It’s free to use and has super-fast wifi and a printer.
