The Peak District’s very own Eyam Half Marathon has just been crowned the UK’s best half marathon by running experts.  This incredible race offers participants breathtaking views spanning five counties, making it a truly unforgettable experience.  Not only is the scenery stunning, but the event itself is exceptionally well-organised, earning rave reviews from runners.

The Eyam Half Marathon secured its top spot on RaceCheck thanks to a high volume of reviews and an impressive average rating of 4.89 out of 5.  This prestigious recognition, known as the Rat Race gold award, speaks volumes about the quality of the event.  Participants have lauded the “stunning route through glorious countryside,” the friendly and supportive marshals and the overall wonderful atmosphere.

While the Eyam Half Marathon is undoubtedly challenging, with 1,500ft of ascent along its circular route starting and finishing in the historic ‘Plague Village,’ the rewards are well worth the effort.  The panoramic vistas across five counties provide a distraction from the demanding course.
