A true culinary gem awaits at Santiago, a vibrant Spanish restaurant that transports you to the heart of Spain with every bite.

Santiago has been pulling the Buxton crowds in since 2021 and we tried it just before Christmas. The family-run business is the result of one family’s holidays in Spain in a small town called San Pedro Del Pinitar. Such was their love of the food, they brought it to Buxton.

Tapas Dream

From the moment you step inside, the warm ambience and lively atmosphere create an inviting atmosphere. The menu, a symphony of authentic flavours, showcases the best of Spanish cuisine. Indulge in tapas like the succulent patatas bravas, the vibrant gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), or the melt-in-your-mouth chorizo al vino.

The tapas menu is split into fish, meat, vegetables and meats and cheeses, ensuring there is something for every taste. The night we went, a Saturday, it was packed to the rafters so make sure you book well ahead.

You can complement your meal with a glass of Spanish wine from their extensive selection. The knowledgeable staff can guide you through the list, pairing the perfect wine with your chosen dishes.

Santiago is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, offering a delightful escape from the ordinary. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Santiago in Buxton is a must-visit.
