The Red Arrows are set to soar over the Peak District this weekend.

Great news for aviation enthusiasts staying at Wheeldon Trees Cottages this weekend. Due to the cancellation of the planned Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire flypast at Buxton Carnival, the RAF Red Arrows have heroically stepped in to fill the void.

A Thrilling Display

The Red Arrows will perform a spectacular flypast over Buxton this coming Saturday, July 13th at approximately 2:25 pm.  Weather permitting, guests can expect to witness the world-famous aerobatic team perform their awe-inspiring manoeuvres against the stunning backdrop of the Peak District National Park.

Prime Location for Viewing

While the exact flight path is subject to change, the Red Arrows are expected to approach Buxton from the southeast, potentially flying over the Bakewell and the Wye Valley area.

The annual Buxton Carnival is a highlight of the summer in the Peak District. Held in mid-July, the carnival features a lively programme including a grand procession, a funfair, a car treasure hunt, and a four-mile race through the decorated streets
