1. Take a walk from your Wheeldon Trees cottage front door
Straight from the front door of Wheeldon Trees Cottages we have 10 mapped out walks of varying difficulty for you to enjoy. All the details can be found in your welcome book and there’s also a link here.
2. Use our discounted tickets to visit Chatsworth
If you’re visiting Chatsworth while you’re with us, don’t forget that we have discounted tickets. We can offer adult tickets for £16.50 instead of the normal £26. Just ask one of us when you arrive. Easter celebrations at Chatsworth take place from the 9th with spring and Easter crafts, animal handling and feeding as well as an Easter Egg hunt. 3. Snow Sisters’ Singalong at Matlock Farm Park
For younger Wheeldon Trees guests, there’s lots going on at Matlock Farm Park across Easter weekend. On Friday 15 April you can channel your inner Anna and Elsa at the Snow Sisters’ Singalong shows. On Sunday 17 it’s Jurassic Fun Day – learn about Rita the great T-Rex and several baby dinosaurs at outdoor shows throughout the day. 4. Shop ‘til you drop at the Artisan Market at Cromford Mills
On Sunday 17 April, there’s an artisan market in Arkwright’s historic mill yard in Cromford. The market runs every third Sunday of the month, so one to note if you’re visiting us later in the year. To find out more visit the Cromford Mills website.
5. Join the nature trail at Ilam Park
If you’re looking for an Easter adventure, visit Ilam Park to take part in a family-friendly nature trail with fun activities on the way. The trail takes place between Saturday 9 April – Sunday 24 April, from 10.30am – 3.00pm, with last entry at 2.30pm. Pick up your trail pack from the gazebo near the stable yard for this self-led family outdoor adventure . While at Ilam, detour and climb to the top of Thorpe Cloud and enjoy some of the best views in the Park. Normal car parking charges apply plus £3 per trail.
