It’s now four months since we purchased Wheeldon Trees Cottages and it’s high time we said thank you to all our amazing guests.

You have been brilliant! Couples, families, friends, 80^th birthdays, honeymoons, babymoons – we think we’ve crossed off lots on our list of fabulous guests. Thank you everyone.

We have been overwhelmed by all your comments, kind words and online reviews since June.

While you’ve been busy having happy holidays and exploring everything the Peak District has to offer, we’ve been busy both inside and out improving facilities and upgrading the retreat.

Outside update

Outside, our gardeners Clive and Chris (as well as Steve on his sit on mower) have been trimming ivy, sorting out flower beds and cutting back meadows. In the next few weeks Chris will be overhauling all the hanging baskets with their winter plants.

Our new branding has now been installed inside and out and we’re the owners of fabulous new signage as well as a brilliant new website.

The honesty shop had a mini-makeover during the summer and our baskets are now bulging with luxury treats to make your holiday even better.

New office

A new office sitting pretty in the wood is just about complete. It will be carpeted next week and then styled with our brand. It is the first building to feature our new custom-made wallpaper, created for us by 8848 and John Mark.

The Farmhouse

One of our biggest projects has been the Farmhouse. New electrics, new kitchen, three new bathrooms, flagstone floor cleaning and were all on the list and we’re pleased to say we are now moving into the nice side of the renovation – decorating and dressing. More pictures will follow soon.

As we approach winter there are lots more projects in the tank to make Wheeldon Trees even more special for all our visitors.
