November in the Peaks has something for everyone in 2021.
There’s lots happening in the Peak District in November if you’re looking for a short break with a little added culture.
For comedy fans, Ross Noble is performing at the Buxton Opera House on 11 November 2021. The following week you can see Joel Dommett at the same venue. If you want a more grass-roots event, there’s a stand up comedy night at the Beer Shed on Market Street in New Mills on 7 November. On 5 November the Buxton Buzz Comedy Club is headlined by Phil Walker, son of Roy.
Folk lovers will not want to miss An Evening with Seth Lakeman on 18 November at the Buxton Opera House.
For the more adventurous, ultra-racers can take part in the Peak District North and South. The race covers 270km with options to suit first timers and elite. The route runs through the best of the White and Dark Peak District.
Music fans can watch The Drifters at the Winding Wheel Theatre on Friday 19 November. Their concert follows dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Further afield Billy Bragg is playing at the Sheffield City Hall on 21 November.
Of course, you may wish to bin the culture, and actually just hole up in the local pub and enjoy a few Derbyshire walks. There are lots of walks directly from your Wheeldon Trees Cottage front door. Lots of walks take in our local pubs The Packhorse Inn and the Royal Oak and both do superb food.
