The Farmhouse at Wheeldon Trees
Wow, what a very fast few days.
We firstly want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us this week. Top of the list are our amazing cleaners. They have supported us at every turn, made us laugh, held our hands and managed to look very glamorous at all times. We would like them to know their kindness is very much appreciated.
Also on the list for thank yous are Clive the gardener, Tony the plumber, Ben the Wifi king (yes, we are officially super fast), Arlene from Bathrooms By Design, the husbands and children of the cleaners and probably lots of other people we have forgotten.
Careful planning means we’ve had no guests since Sunday, so we have tried to crack through lots of jobs.
Work on The Farmhouse at Wheeldon Trees has begun. We hope to have it ready for holidays by late summer. It will feature three new vintage bathrooms (powder room, family bathroom and en-suite), a new kitchen, a snug, a reading room, lounge with original flagstone floors and three double bedrooms. There’s even a rumour we have a wood burning hot tub with views to die for but until it arrives, we won’t believe it. Can you all please stop ordering hot tubs as we have found ourselves with quite the lead time from our Swedish friends.
We will update you on The Farmhouse when there’s more to show and it will of course feature on our new website which will also launch soon.
Friday will see our first guests arriving and this weekend is looking very busy. We will end this blog with a special final thank you to all the people who have booked to stay with us. We’ll be working very hard to ensure you have an amazing holiday in the glorious Peak District National Park.
