A celebration of local independent producers is promised over a weekend of delicious treats and indulgences! There will be more than 30 stalls with a large range of food and drink to buy from the Peak District and surrounding areas. In addition, there will also be a Thornbridge Brewery bar and hog roast as well as tasting sessions.

Watercolour workshop at Wheeldon Trees

Searching for the perfect Mothering Sunday gift or simply want a few hours away from everyone with some valuable me time in the Peaks? We have the perfect answer – our first watercolour workshop.

We’re delighted to welcome Emma-Jayne from the Little Sweet Pea Studio who will be joining us on 12 March 2023 to guide a watercolour workshop. Emma-Jayne is passionate about being creative. What’s more, she has loved drawing from a young age and holds a degree in contemporary arts.

Over the course of a few hours, you will enjoy creating a gorgeous watercolour illustration/painting inspired by spring blooms and the garden.

A celebration of Derbyshire women – Chatsworth

Join Chatsworth on International Women’s Day as they showcase local Derbyshire women. The event will celebrate wWomen from a diverse range of backgrounds. Included will be small businesses, art and services to the communities of Derbyshire will be celebrated.

This free drop-in event will take place in the Hartington and Burlington rooms in the Stables. Curated by the High Sheriff in Nomination 2023/24, Theresa Peltier, the day will feature a rolling series of talks and performances. Appearances will include Derbyshire Lord Lieutenant Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE and a performance from local singer-songwriter Carol Fieldhouse. In addition, there will be writer, poet and performer Seni Seneviratne; resident sculptor at Derbyshire Eco Centre, Sue Allanson; Gill Hart, Head of Learning and Engagement at Chatsworth; and Alice Martin, Head of Collections at Chatsworth.
