New Peak District Cottages
New Peak District Cottages. One of the latest cottages to be totally renovated at Wheeldon Trees is Priestley Cottage.
Priestley Cottage
Priestley Cottage underwent a fabulous makeover in May 2022.
The luxury cottage sleeps three people. The 2022 makeover includes a new kitchen. The petrol blue and mink kitchen has granite work surfaces, sourced locally, built in appliance and also a waste disposal system.
Oak flooring
The tiled flooring downstairs has been replaced by new oak floors with underground heating. Derbyshire cabinet maker David Cantrill installed the kitchen and oak flooring.
Furthermore, the entire cottage has been redecorated with new soft furnishings. Windows have been dressed by local interiors specialist Ali from the Home of Curtains and Blinds.
A brand-new carpet leads you up the stairs to two spacious bedrooms. The double bedroom can either be twins or a super king. There’s also a cosy single bedroom with oak furniture.
Vintage bathroom
The bathroom was created by Cheshire specialist Bathrooms by Design. The vintage theme includes floor to ceiling tiling and a walk-in rain shower.
As with every Wheeldon Trees Cottage, our bedlinen is Egyptian, crisp and white and our towels are soft and fluffy. There’s no need to pack kitchen essentials like washing up liquid, foil or oil. In addition, loo roll and kitchen roll is a given (with spares in our honesty shop) and we also provide luxury toiletries. Every cottage has shampoo and conditioner as well as shower gel and body lotion from The White Company.
EV charging
Outside, Priestley Cottage has its own private patio. In addition, across the retreat there’s free EV charging, an honesty shop, games room and free electric bikes to explore the local area.
